Get ready to be whisked off to a tropical vacation with one sip of this pina colada margarita. Made with four ingredients, this tropical margarita is ready in less than 5 minutes. No need for coconut cream, margarita mix or any fancy ingredients!
Add all of the ingredients, as well as ½ cup of ice, into a cocktail shaker or mason jar and shake. Add ice to to a a rocks or margarita glass then strain the cocktail into it.
OPTIONAL RIM: If you would like to do a coconut shred rim, do so before straining the cocktail into the glass. To rim the glass, add 2 tbsp of coconut shreds into a shallow bowl, and .5 oz of simple syrup into a shallow bowl. Dip the rim of the glass into the simple syrup then into the coconut shreds, twisting the glass up and down to make the coconut stick. Then, add ice and strain the cocktail into the glass

For a frozen version, add all of the ingredients and 1 cup of ice into a blender and blend.Double or triple this recipe for a crowd.To make it a virgin cocktail, remove the tequila and make according to the directions. Once the cocktail is strained into the glass, top it with soda water.
