Fresh Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita is the perfect easy drink that is a fun twist on a true classic. Made with fresh strawberries and oranges causing this drink to be sweet and paired with spicy jalapenos and tart limes to complete the perfect flavor profile, this drink will be your new summer favorite.

There is nothing more refreshing than a muddled strawberry margarita in the summer. It tastes like sunshine in a glass to me, plus extra fruit never hurts anyone! Gabe and I love to sit outside and drink margs while eating vegan tacos.

Sometimes, however, I love to add in some spice to my margaritas. While I am a big fan of Jalapeño margaritas, combining a refreshing strawberry margarita with it truly transforms this easy on the rocks margarita to the next level.

You may be nervous to try a jalapeno alcoholic beverage, but I am here to tell you not to be! I have tested this recipe again and again to ensure it is not too spicy (of course, if you want to #levelitup, you sure can!).

I have had my fair share of jalapeno alcoholic beverages that have caused such acid reflex, I could not drink them or they burned too much going down, that I am unable to drink the entire glass.

So, rest assured that this fresh sweet and spicy margarita is safe to drink and will not burn your esophagus.

What Makes This Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita Fresh?

Fresh Fruit- This fresh fruit margarita uses only fruit to sweeten this drink! While many margaritas use triple sec, pre-made juice, agave or maple syrup to sweeten up their on the rocks margaritas, this drink does not have any of that

No Preservatives - There are no preservatives in this jalapeno strawberry margarita or any other added chemicals. This drink solely has fresh fruit, seltzer and tequila.

No Added Sugar - Unlike many other fresh fruit margaritas, there is no added sugar. Just the fruit to sweeten it up!

Ingredients & Tools to make Jalapeno Strawberry Margarita

To make this Fresh Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita, you will need the following ingredients: strawberries; limes; 1 orange; 1 jalapeno; club soda; and tequila (I used Azunia).

You will also need a juicer, shaker, and muddler. This is the juicer I use, the shaker I use, and this is the muddler I use. See Hot Tips section for cost saving alternatives.

How To Make This No Sugar Added Margarita

This easy to make on the rocks, fresh fruit margarita is extremely straight forward.

Place your strawberries into the shaker (or glass) and muddle.

Then add in the jalapenos and muddle again. Add in the tequila, juice and shake. Then, add in the ice and shake again.

Pour into a glass and fill to the top with seltzer or club soda.

You may garnish with extra fruit, such as strawberries, oranges, limes or jalapenos. You may also use mint or rosemary.

Hot Tips for This Easy On The Rocks Margarita

Storing- This jalapeno margarita is best served right away. If you need to prep it ahead of time, the best thing to do is pre juice your lime,

Muddling- If you do not have a muddler, that is OK. You can easily use the back of a wooden spoon to muddle your fruit!

Juicing- If you do not have a juicer, simple squeeze the limes and oranges!

Shaker- If you do not have a shaker, simply place in a blender bottle or a mason jar and shake! If you do not have either of those, simply stirring vigorously will work too.
